With a formal background in statistical mechanics and probability theory, I have been developing software algorithms for studying molecualr structure and function over 30 years.  With a background in music theory and formal classical and jazz training on violin, I have been playing and composing music since 2008. I studied both classical and jazz violin with Scott Tixier for four years, between 2010 and 2014. I have developed a system of composing music called, arsNova, this software algorithm uses theories from statisitcal mechanics and thermodynamics to produce mid-complex melodies and harmonic structure.  I have a B.S. in chemistry from UCLA, a Ph.D in physical chemistry from the University of Washington, and a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular dynamics from UCSF.
